Micro-X is the first company in the world to introduce to the general radiology market, NEX Technology, using a carbon nanotube, a cold electron source material instead of a traditional heated filament. The Rover Mobile DR is an ultra-lightweight digital portable x-ray machine providing high quality mobile x-ray imaging at Point of Care for patients at the hospital or on the sports field!
Several unique components contribute to its lightness:
Nano Electronic X-ray or NEX Technology™ uses carbon nanotubes to generate X-rays without heat yet with high precision. Therefore, the bulk of oil, lead and motors needed for cooling traditional thermionic mobile x-ray machines are not needed. NEX Technology delivers an X-ray tube of 2.35 kgs, our head is <6 kgs and the counterpoise arm <16.5ks. The total weight of the Rover Mobile x-ray machine is about 100kgs. No motors and fewer batteries are needed further reducing weight.

Carestream`s fully integrated digital portable x-ray machine mobile provides an easy workflow, elevates productivity and produces outstanding images.
The DRX-Rise mobile x-ray offers bins for gloves, paperwork, markers, bags and storage space the detectors. Powered by a lithium battery, the system supports extended time of use - capable of up to 50 km driving or 1000 (70 kV, 10 mAs) exposures.
Two (2) touch-screen displays provide dual work zones with a 21 in. main monitor and 10 in. tube head monitor. The system can be equipped with in-bin charging for two (2) separate detectors ensuring detectors are ready to use when needed.
The system also has secondary drive controls via the tube head or optional wireless remote exposure switch offering the operator flexibility in positioning the unit.
